Made from the wilting of Citronella, this essential oil is produced by steam distillation. It constituents of chemicals like Geraniol, citronellol, geranyl, acetate, limonene, citronellyl acetate, elemol, camphene and sesquiterpens. The light yellow coloured fresh and sweet fluid liquid is used in the isolation of menthol crystals, flavouring of toothpastes and mouthwash, and pharmaceuticals.
